I was recently accused of being "a wild-eyed privacy zealot" (or something similar). So here is a different view. In a polarized environment where opinions on privacy are simplistically reduced to "for" or "ignore," David Brin's concept of "The Transparent Society" (the title of his 1998 book) is a nimble approach that appears more relevant by the day.
